I dropped into the Salesforce Cloud Conference the other day in San Francisco at the Moscone Center to check out what Salesforce was up to and to meet up with fellow Canadian Daniel Debow. Daniel sold two companies, Workbrain and most recently Rypple to Salesforce.com. It was great to sit (in huge beanbag chairs) at the event and chat with Daniel about his experiences in the technology world. He has amazing experience and expertise.
I had the opportunity to meet up with Melinda Lewison who runs Bezos Expeditions, which handles the personal investments of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. It was great to meet up with her in their Seattle, WA offices to chat further about what we are up to with Payroll Hero and where we are going with the company.
Payroll Hero sponsored the “Can We Be Lean In All Stages?” meetup in downtown Vancouver the other night by providing a few copies of The Lean Startup for their raffel. If you have been reading this blog you know we purchased a few copies of Eric Ries’ The Lean Startup. So, if you have an event in British Columbia that would benefit from having a few copies of the Lean Startup to give away then let us know more. Take a moment to write a note on our Facebook page as to why your event would be a great fit.
Some of the Payroll Hero team flew into Beijing China to attend Verne Harnish’s Gazelles conference with the EO Beijing Chapter. Verne’s company Gazelles is focused on growing companies and leaders around the world. Verne is also the founder of EO. EO is a worldwide organizing that fosters entrepreneurs and helps them grow their businesses. I’m a member of the EO San Francisco Chapter and my business partner Mike Stephenson is a moment of the EO Manila Chapter.
